C62 or NGC 247, the Whale galaxy
Low in the sky and most easily visible from the southern US. I got this picture from the Davis Mountain area (near the McDonald Observatory, housing several world class telescopes, including one of 430 inches diameter) of west Texas. A large but faint galaxy above the much better known  (and seen) Sculptor Galaxy.
