Commonly known as the Cone Nebula, this picture is also known as the Christmas Tree cluster. It's a cluster of stars with the brightest at the top of a cone shaped bright nebula. Personally I also have a name for the dark nebula to the right, which to me looks something like "The Alien" from the Sigourney Weaver Alien series. |
