Located in the sword, and just a little above the better known Great Orion Nebula is this pretty and interesting but faint reflection nebula named the Running Man Nebula. It is another of the numerous and varied nebula in and around the constellation of Orion. The whole area in which Orion sets in front of is a dense region of interstellar gas. Some areas such as the Great Orion Nebula are dense enough to be star forming regions. The massive and brilliantly intense blue white stars seen here and lighting up the gasses of the Running Man Nebula are recently formed stars born from that medium.
