IC1318, Eastern portion of the Gamma Cygnus Nebula. I call it the Sadr Strait
A glowing H-Alpha region just east of Sadr, the 2nd magnitude central star of the Northern Cross. In general form this region reminds me a lot of the  Lagoon Nebula. This region is much larger and higher in the sky. It looks to me like two islands separated by a dark sea strait, thus my favorite name for it, the Sadr Strait. This is the Eastern area of a much larger region called the Gamma Cygnus Nebula, which extends to the left of the bright star Sadr as well as above and below this view.
