Not particularly remarkable. Still it's a nice bright and large cluster. It's about 2800 light years away and spread over about 14 light years. It's about 100 million years old. There are several hundred members in the cluster, none particularly remarkable, but overall it's a nice easily recognizable nearly circular concentration of stars around the foot stars of Gemini. Visually it has an overall magnitude of about 5.3 with it's brightest members around mag. 8.6 It's about 28 arc minutes in extent is easily found with binoculars.
