City lights

There is much more to the night sky than the moon, stars, planets and all the other various stellar objects . There are the effects of distant city lights on high clouds, the aurora, meteors, comets, satellites, airplanes of various types and sorts, the effect of light from various sources and distances on various heights of clouds, and if you’re lucky (or unlucky) the occasional UFO ;-), all these make for additional beauty and interest. When you've been out in a dark area for about a half hour, you'll begin to notice how surprisingly bright the night is just from the light of the stars. You begin to realize how people of old found the night interesting and wonderful, and created many of the beliefs and stories we can read about today.
