Full moon, Winter, 2001

This is the 1st astrophoto I ever took. Like many astrophotographers, it all began one night when you hold up your digital camera to the eyepiece of your telescope and snap a photo, and it came out like this!! As it happens, this particular moon shot was on a night when the moon was as close as it will ever get again for several hundred years.

8" F10 Schmidt Cassegrain Telescope, 32mm eyepiece, Kodak D260 camera
Not sure of settings, but believe was not less than F4.6
single photo, brightness and contrast enhanced
